The MSC have Self Funded places available, this will vary from year to year depending on the allocation of Funded places given from the TDA.

How Self Funding works:-
The school employs a graduate as an unqualified teacher, pay the salary and fund the training fees.The MSC carries out the training, giving full support to both the school and the trainee.The training is fully comparable to that given to TDA funded trainees.The MSC has a qualified Self funded co ordinator. Many trainees continue to be employed by the school following the achievement of QTS.

September 2012 the MSC registered 16 Self Funded trainees, mainly from Independant Schools but also from maintained schools.
