The GTP trainee's progress is monitored and assessed by the school and the MSC throughout the year. Evidence files need to be kept. Progress is checked against a series of QTS standards. These may be found on www.tda.gov.uk. At the end of the programme the trainee will be assessed by one of the MSC trained assessors.


The Graduate Teacher Programme is only for the academic year of training and does not guarantee a job within the partnership institutions on qualification. Following the training year, the trainee may need to find employment in another school to undertake their Induction year.
